Home for the Holidays with ArtWalk!

The final ArtWalk of 2017 offers many of the very best kinds of gifts – locally-made, handcrafted works. From dazzling jewelry (and many holiday must-haves) at n. wirt design & gallery to lathe-turned wooden bowls at The Black Crow on Main, beautiful art and inspiring gifts will abound.

From Hopman Jewelers at Jackson/ Main down Main Street to Matzke Florist, artists will be installed inside commercial locations for the public to visit and enjoy…

  • Megan Hapel, a powerfully-talented young singer/ songwriter, returns with her impressive repertoire of original songs and classic ballads at The Black Crow on Main.
  • Whimsical, fascinating paintings by Matt Redbeard will be on display and for sale at Juxtapose Gallery, 208 S. Main Street.
  • The stunning variety of media and subject from the Elkhart Art League’s Fall Member Show can  be previewed at Arts on Main Gallery, 205 S. Main.
  • Ft. Wayne ceramic artist Joseph Pelka is bringing a fresh batch of his high-style art pottery and will create a gallery inside Our Place on Main
  • Two talented photographers will join the ArtWalk:  Stephen Lewis and Ed Marshall.  Marshall, whose studio is in Decatur, MI, will be showing his work at Matzke Florist.
  • Barbara Cowles’ wonderfully-warm and affordable scarves will again be in the lobby of the Edward Jones Financial Services building, 227 S. Main.

Main Street Specials

  • Wine at The Vine:  the popular $5 house wine special returns with some terrific pours.  Gift certificates are available — a perfect present for foodies.
  • Kid’s craft projects will be at Arts on Main, the Tutu School and at Servants Heart Church.  Parents can take more time to shop while kids dive into construction paper.
  • Fiber optics:  You’ll see a fantastic variety of handmade mittens from Church Community Service’s “Mittens on a Mission” project that helps female clients to run a cooperative business and to beautifully repurpose yarn and sweaters into colorful mittens for children and adults.  Each pair is unique and always artful.
